Dr. Anthony Acquaviva graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital followed by a one-year surgical internship in Delaware. Dr. Acquaviva continued his surgical training by completing a surgical residency at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He is a board-certified veterinary surgeon.
Dr. Acquaviva worked at a large small animal specialty hospital in Fairfield County for 13 years. Dr. Acquaviva has previously served as a board member of Fairfield County Veterinary Medical Association for 10 years. He is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Surgery, the American Veterinary Medicine Association, the Society of Soft Tissue Veterinary Surgery, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Dr. Acquaviva’s clinical interests include stifle surgery (TPLO, lateral suture, patella luxations), fracture management, oncologic surgery, abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery, and many other aspects of orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
When not working, Dr. Acquaviva can be found with his wife and three children. He enjoys skiing, hiking, and hanging out with his two dogs and cat.
